THE OLDEST FULL-SIZED SPORTS POSTER SERIES EVER PUBLISHED!

A classic piece of Americana, from a classic era in Detroit sports history - this was Lions style, circa 1966!. From the roaring heyday of Motown, it was a transition time on the gridiron at old Tiger Stadium, when the old guard had gone, and young stars Lem Barney and Mel Farr were just emerging. A rare poster from the earliest full-sized (two-feet-by-three-feet) sports poster series ever published! All NFL and AFL teams of the era were published in this series, which features bold, colorful artwork from Dave Boss, and a simple black-and-white team title along the bottom - great 1960s style that will bring back a flood of memories. These posters pre-date the more well-known NFL Collectors Series (sold through Sports Illustrated) by a couple of years, and are much more difficult to find! For serious collectors only - grab it now if you need it, only one available, and this one is a beauty, preserved in nearly-pristine, never-used, original condition, as good as the day you would have bought it off the shelf back in '66!
